Popular USA searches
Whether you’re joining a group tour or exploring independently, our USA holidays are your gateway to some of the world’s most exciting cities, coastlines, and wide-open spaces.
Take to the highway on a self-drive car or motorhome road trip, enjoy country music tours in Tennessee, shop until you drop on a city break or tackle the Blue Ridge Mountain trails of West Virginia. Meanwhile, national Parks, such as Yosemite, Yellowstone, and the Grand Canyon, offer jaw-dropping scenery not to mention endless hiking and wildlife watching potential.
From all that jazz in New Orleans and showtime in Las Vegas to shopping trips in New York City and witnessing the Great Lakes of Michigan and the wonder of Niagara Falls; if you’re planning on taking your holiday in America to the next level, here’s where your adventure begins.
California
Go west and you’ll be treated to some of the world’s most exciting seaside cities with San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles all unforgettable. If you prefer your wild experiences to be more inclined to nature, California also has some of America’s favourite national parks, including the giant sequoias and waterfalls of Yosemite and the surreal Colorado Desert rock formations of Joshua Tree. From surfable Pacific swells and Napa Valley wineries to following the coast road through Santa Barbara, Carmel, Monterey, and Big Sur State Park – is it any wonder California’s considered the coast with the most?
Florida
America’s southernmost state is packed with holiday options ranging from motorhome tours to seaside spa resorts. Starting with the Gulf Coast beaches around Tampa you’re just a skip and a jump to Florida’s centrally located theme parks in Orlando. From there, it’s cruise ship capital Fort Lauderdale and Art Deco Miami that steal the show before the ‘gator and bird- filled Everglades tempt you into wildlife adventures, afloat. And when you’re looking for one of America’s most iconic coastal stretches, what better than a mojito in Key West after a fun-filled Florida road trip to the end of Route One?
Alaska
Situated in the far northwest, just on the western edge of Canada, Alaska has fjords, glaciers and bear-filled pine forests. Cruise ships from Vancouver take travellers through the Inside Passage to the port towns of Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and onwards to Anchorage. Onshore excursions promise Native American culture, incredible wildlife watching and relics of a Russian past. For the ultimate adventure, prelude an Alaskan cruise with an unforgettable rail journey through the Canadian Rockies.
East Coast USA
No holiday to East Coast America is complete without seeing the iconic skyscrapers, statues, and streets of New York City. And while you’re on the east coast, the Smithsonian exhibits and major monuments in Washington and the heritage trails and New England charm of Boston are also well worth adding to your itinerary. Also, Niagara Falls isn’t too far from the east coast and is certainly worth a visit if you’re travelling around the lakes in upstate New York or even if you find yourself as far afield as Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire.
