The Anam Cam Ranh
Hand-Picked Hotel
Colonial elegance and villas with private pools on Vietnam’s southeast coast.
If you’re looking to experience the elegance of Southeast Asia’s colonial French era, the Anam Cam Ranh is a great place to start. This is the only five-star beach resort on the Cam Ranh Peninsula, and it’s been designed in the traditional style of days gone by.
The hotel has a brilliant location, bordered by tropical coconut palms and the cool white sands of Bai Dai Beach. It’s easily accessible from the city of Nha Trang, which is just over a 30-minute taxi ride away along the coast. But when it comes to things to do here, you’re spoiled for choice, from treatments at Anam Spa and three swimming pools to cooking classes, tennis courts, and a golf putting green.
The Indochine and Lang Viet restaurants are on hand to take you on a culinary journey of Vietnamese delights. Get ready for a gourmet home cooking experience with only the freshest ingredients used in every original recipe. For after-dinner tipples, head for the Saigon Bar or the Beach Club for handcrafted cocktails and relaxed atmospheres.

Local Area
Vietnam is situated in Southeast Asia bordered by Cambodia and Laos to the west and the South China Sea to the east. Its snaking form has long been a fascination for travellers, with the northern powerhouse of Hanoi located more than 10,000 miles from its southern equivalent Ho Chi Minh City, which was formerly known as Saigon.
Most heading to Hanoi will also travel to the limestone karst rocks around Ha Long Bay before flying or driving south to the historic coastal towns of Hue and Hoi An. Da Nang is the most conveniently located airport as it’s situated in between both towns in the centre of the east coast.
Continue the journey into Vietnam’s southeastern reaches and it’s the seaside city of Nha Trang that comes to the fore. This is where white-sand beaches, such as Bai Dai Beach, on the Cam Ranh Peninsula, can be found. From here, you’re a seven-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, although the peace and tranquillity of life overlooking the ocean is more than enough incentive to stay put.
