Location
The coach drop off is approximately 200 yards from the hotel. One of Europe’s UNESCO-listed spa towns, Montecatini Terme’s naturally healing thermal baths have been visited by travellers since Roman times. The parks and piazzas of central Montecatini are approximately 600 yards from the hotel, and a convenient funicular railway will take you up to the medieval village of Montecatini Alto, where you can enjoy sweeping views and relaxed cafes. The nearest bus stop from the hotel is 175 yards away. The drive to/from the airport takes approximately 45 minutes.
Out and about
You are ideally located for exploring more of Tuscany independently. Pisa and Florence are only an hour’s drive away, where you can marvel at the famous Leaning Tower and discover a wealth of Renaissance treasures. Just 30 minutes away lies the medieval walled city of Lucca, where you can stroll along ancient walls, visit historic churches, and relax in charming piazzas. Siena, with its Gothic architecture is a one-and-a-half hour drive, while the rolling Chianti hills are just under an hour south.

Home to the iconic Leaning Tower and the Field of Miracles, Pisa is a city of highlights. Head to the UNESCO-listed Piazzo dei Miracoli to see the Leaning Tower, Pisa Cathedral and the Baptistery.
Florence
Discover Renaissance Florence and see some of the city’s most celebrated sights and architecture, such as the famous Duomo, with its orange dome, built by Filippo Brunelleschi between 1420 and 1436. The cathedral is the largest building in Florence, containing 16th-century frescoes by Vasari.

Learn more about one of the region's most famous sons, Leonardo da Vinci. Travelling by minivan or car you'll hear the stories that have shaped Tuscany en route to da Vinci's birthplace. After a look around the house and an interesting hologrammatic history lesson, you'll transfer to the town of Vinci. Take your time to explore the medieval alleyways and enjoy the picturesque panoramas as well as the life-size reproductions of Leonardo’s work within the Castello di Poppi. You'll also visit the Church of Santa Croce, where da Vinci was baptised, before transferring to a local farm to enjoy an afternoon aperitif and views across the vineyard before heading back to the hotel.
