You’ll be walking mainly on good paths at a low altitude, with occasional more demanding ascents and descents. Lake Molveno

Distance: Nine miles Enjoy a gentle circular walk along the scenic shore of Lake Moveno, admiring the crystal blue waters of this beautiful lake. The Italian poet Antonio Fogazzaro described it as a "precious pearl within an even more precious casket" – on this walk you'll see why. Journey through woods, past the Ponte Romano (an intact ancient Roman Bridge) and a waterfall. Although quite long, this walk is not strenuous and acts as a good introduction to the walking programme.
Molveno and Andalo

Distance: Nine miles This walk is more strenuous but you'll be rewarded with magnificent views over Lake Molveno. Andalo is 1,137 yards above sea level, in the heart of the Dolomiti di Brenta mountains and offers 360-degree views all around the Adige valley.
Santel to Fai della Paganella

Distance: Six miles Although only a short distance from Molveno, this walk will provide you with completely different views – particularly of the Adige valley from La Croce viewpoint. On the slopes of the Paganella you can admire wild flowers in season and see if you can spot any local wildlife. At an altitude of 3,000 feet, Fai della Paganella offers a superb viewpoint over the Val d'Adige.
Arco to Monte Colt

Distance: Five miles Look forward to a circular walk offering a variety of scenery. The first part of the walk is quite steep but you'll be able to stop at good viewpoints. You'll also see Monte Colt, a large limestone formation just north of Arco that's popular with rock climbers.
Molveno to Rifugio Croz dell'Altissimo

Distance: Eight miles A moderate climb will lead you closer to the towering peak of Croz dell'Altissimo (2339 metres) in the Brenta Dolomites, with spectacular views of woodlands and the lake on a fine day. Part of the mountain is a near vertical 3,000-foot high 'wall' which is popular with climbers, although you won't be expected to tackle it! The Rifugio is a typical mountain 'shelter' created to accommodate travellers overnight or in poor weather conditions. With the development of mountain tourism, many of these shelters have become small hotels catering to tourists and skiers.

The surrounding area is particularly hilly, with very steep inclines from the hotel up to the village. Alle Dolomiti has a particularly scenic setting overlooking the beautiful, blue waters of Lake Molveno, backed by the Dolomites. At one end of the lake, around 435 yards away, the pretty town of Molveno beckons, offering small beaches perfect for swimming and boating. Meanwhile, verdant forests and winding pathways surround the seven-mile shoreline, making it a paradise for nature lovers. The drive to/from the airport takes approximately two hours.
Out and about
Venture further afield with a visit to Lake Garda, the historic city of Trento, 27 miles away, or head into South Tyrol to explore the cities of Bolzano, 42 miles away, and Merano, 58 miles away.
Trento
This charming city has a dramatic setting beside the Adige River, at the foot of the Dolomites. Its main attractions include 13th-century Buonconsiglio Castle, Trento Cathedral on Piazza Duomo and the two 16th-century houses of Case Cazuffi-Rella, decorated with Renaissance frescoes.
Bolzano and Merano
Bolzano, gateway to the Dolomites, has a medieval centre where you will find the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, which exhibits the Neolithic mummy Ötzi the Iceman. While in Merano you can see Art Nouveau architecture, medieval porticoes and scenic promenades.

Breakfast is available in the in the Orangerie hall between 0800-1000. The buffet includes a variety of cereal, yoghurt, homemade jam, white and brown bread, pastries, eggs, ham and local cheese. Hot breakfast options are available cooked to order.
Dinner is available in the main restaurant between 1930-2100. Everything is freshly prepared and cooked, with a daily updated menu of seasonal/regional fresh products. 90% of the pasta is homemade by the owners as well as all the gnocchi, ravioli and desserts.
