Xativa
1 / 3
This excursion heads to the town of Xativa that sits in the shadow of an impressive medieval castle. There are a wealth of historic attractions within the town, including the Seu Cathedral, the Palace of the Marquis of Montortal and the Arco Palace. Just outside Xativa is the Cova Negra (Black Cave), where 30,000-year-old relics have been discovered. It is believed that the notorious Borgias originated from Xativa and that they funded many of the town’s palaces and churches.

1 / 3
Friday is market day, offering you the perfect opportunity to explore the local stalls and uncover the unique character of this town. Formerly a coastal hamlet inhabited by fishermen, Moraira boasts a castle perched on the rocky shores, providing stunning views of La Playa de l’Ampolia. Immerse yourself in the town's history by visiting the Parish Church, a significant landmark in the heart of the Old Town, with roots dating back to the 19th century.
Valencia

This tour of Spain’s third-largest city starts with a visit to the Fallas Museum, where you will find out more about the history behind this great fiesta – the fallas themselves are huge papier-maché sculptures. Next is a visit to one of the biggest indoor markets in Spain, followed by a guided walk past the cathedral and basilica. After some free time for lunch, a final stop is made at the City of Arts and Science, where there is an opportunity to take photographs of the superb modern buildings and bridges. This excursion involves a fair amount of walking with a local guide.

While the historic heart of Denia, just over a mile away, features narrow streets lined with lively street cafes. From here, you can walk up to the 12th-century, hilltop castle and archaeology museum. Browse the designer boutiques along the tree-lined Carrer Marques de Campo. Or find a pavement cafe in the Old Town to while away a few hours. The nearest bus stop from the hotel is 50 metres away. The drive to/from the airport takes approximately one hour and 20 minutes.
