Bridge at Hotel Fuerte El Rompido
Hand-Picked Hotel
Bridge
The rugged Costa de la Luz provides the perfect backdrop for our relaxed and friendly bridge holidays. There’ll be plenty of free time to enjoy the pools and dune-backed beach, and to venture into pretty El Rompido for a café con leche. Four afternoons are set aside for informal bridge sessions, while daily post-dinner duplicate games have a more competitive feel. No partner? No problem. If you’re travelling solo, we’ll pair you up with another player. Two insightful seminars from your tournament director will help you hone skills and learn new techniques – you’ll return home with a suntan and a strengthened game.
Included activities
- 4 informal afternoon bridge sessions
- Duplicate bridge every evening (club standard)
- 2 morning bridge seminars with boards to play
There’s a wilder, more rustic side to Andalusia on the Costa de la Luz, and the pace of life is slower than in some of the more touristy spots. This hotel is a popular choice for wildlife and birdwatchers, who love its location surrounded by a huge nature reserve criss-crossed with walking and cycling trails. And it certainly makes the most of its stunning location, with its rooftop terrace, two outdoor swimming pools (one adults-only), indoor heated pool and spectacular views from every room. The pillow menu and tea and coffee-making facilities mean you’ll soon feel at home in your room, and you can also immerse yourself in local culture at the hotel with botanical tours and Spanish language classes.

Back at the hotel, guests can follow well signposted walks onto the protected nature reserve, where 14km of trails reveal beautiful marshlands, pine forests and shifting sand dunes.
