That is why we offer a range of holidays designed with single travellers in mind, from selected escorted tours with departures exclusively for single travellers, to stays at universities and colleges in the UK and a wide range of hotels throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, with single rooms at no extra cost.
Travelling on your own should never limit where you want to go or what you want to see. Whether you want to discover Peru and the lost city of Machu Picchu, journey through the ancient cities of Uzbekistan, experience a rail journey through India or stay closer to home in the UK, there is plenty to choose from. We have a great choice of hotel stays and escorted tours in destinations you may never have thought of travelling alone. Whether you want to go on safari in South Africa, discover the natural wonders of Costa Rica, travel through India by rail, explore the Greek islands or relax by the pool in Spain, there is a holiday to suit you. We are always adding new holidays for single travellers, too.
We keep group sizes to no more than 30 people, creating a sociable atmosphere where you can get to know your fellow travellers while still enjoying time to yourself.
Our single holidays are for travellers aged 50 and over. You will meet people of different ages and backgrounds, with plenty of opportunities to make new friends and enjoy your holiday together.
At the start of your holiday, you will be invited to an informal drinks reception by your host, which is great change to meet fellow travellers. Plus, on hotel stays you can join a group orientation walk where your host will show you the local area and facilities. There is a farewell meal at the end of your holiday too.
No. As well as dedicated single departures, a wide range of hotels throughout Europe and the Mediterranean offer single rooms at no extra cost. These holidays will not include a solo host and will follow the same inclusions as the main holiday. You will travel with the main group, but have your own room at no extra cost, giving you more choice when deciding where and when to travel.
We make dining a sociable time and reserve tables in the hotel or local restaurant so everyone can dine together. However, if you prefer, you can dine independently your Saga host or tour manager can help with recommendations and reservations.
