Pismo Beach is located on California’s central coast midway between Los Angeles to the south and Monterey to the north. It’s a peaceful place to head to on a Route 1 road trip or if you’re looking to take time out at the beach or make the most of the local wineries.
The beach itself is well equipped with showers, volleyball nets, and drinking fountains. It’s an ideal spot to spend time in the water or strolling along the prom or the pier. Head into downtown Pismo Beach and you’ll find a mix of boutique stores, surf rentals and seafood diners. It’s a cool location to hang out for a while or head a short way out of town to see the Monarch butterflies or follow the trails around Chumash or Margo Dodd state parks.
