Local Area
Situated just south of Naples Pier, Marco Island is one of southwest Florida’s most beautiful barrier islands. This is where you’ll find golf courses, white sand beaches and access to the mangroves and islets of the Ten Thousand Islands archipelago.
Although attached to the mainland by a couple of bridges, you really feel like you’re getting away from the rest of Florida. It’s a great location for self-drive holiday makers looking for a beachside resort overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. You’re just two hours from Miami and only an hour from Everglades National Park.
Check in for a few nights and you’ll find yourself strolling along the sand in search of tiki bars and seafood grill restaurants. You can also go shelling and kayaking at Tigertail Beach tidal lagoon or join a boat tour heading out to watch dolphins. That’s another great thing about Marco Island, it’s up to you to decide how much or how little you want to do.
