Local Area
Take off on the Florida Keys and you’ll find yourself driving from Key Largo in the north to Key West in the south. This route leads for 127miles on the Overseas Highway with views of the Gulf of Mexico to your right and the Atlantic Ocean to your left.
As you travel south, you’re bound to discover lots of beachside cafes selling their own signature brand of Key lime pie. What better excuse to pull over and sample a slice before kicking off your shoes and enjoying a stroll on a sugar white sand beach.
Once you arrive in Key West keep on driving until you reach Duval Street. This is where you’ll find legendary bars like Sloppy Joe’s as well as superb sea views from Sunset Pier. Mallory Square is also nearby if you’re looking to join the crowds congregating at sunset.
From the Hemingway Home & Museum to the Shipwreck Museum and Fort Zachary Taylor State Park – if you’re looking to find the Florida Keys, keep going until you reach Key West.
