Local Area
Just one block from the golden sands of Waikiki Beach, and directly across from the lovely 108-acre green space of Kapiolani Park (in which you’ll also find Honolulu Zoo), the hotel’s location is hard to beat. Having the park on one side seems to provide a bit of breathing space, a place to relax without ever feeling surrounded by the high-rise hotels so prevalent elsewhere in Waikiki. And yet, the Queen Kapiolani is still within easy walking distance to the resort’s shopping, dining and entertainment venues. It’s also situated at the foot of the majestic Diamond Head crater, panoramic views of which are perhaps best enjoyed from the pool terrace on the third floor of the hotel.
