Highlights of the Sunshine State

Find your freedom in Florida as you take to the open road and experience the good life in the Sunshine State. Starting off in the Art Deco capital of Miami is the perfect introduction to the white sand beaches and sublime sunsets overlooking the Atlantic. From Miami, you’ll head south as you take to the spectacular Overseas Highway and disappear into the Florida Keys. From the southernmost point in the USA, Key West, you’ll retrace your steps north through the Everglades to where manatees, alligators and wading birds live amongst the mangroves. For the next few days, you’ll slowly pootle past the seaside villages and barrier islands overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. It’s a gorgeous experience with time spent in Sarasota and Crystal River guaranteed to get you into that laid-back sunshine state of mind. Crossing over to the Atlantic, you’ll discover Spanish colonial heritage in St. Augustine before diving into the splash rides, rollercoasters, and theme parks of Orlando. All that’s left is a couple of nights in Fort Lauderdale and you’ll be ready to head for home. Unless you’ve opted for a follow-on Caribbean cruise, of course.
