Jetwing Beach Negombo
Hand-Picked Hotel
A creation inspired by the architecture of Geoffrey Bawa, the Jetwing Beach Negombo combines contemporary design with classic Sri Lankan features like dark wood interiors and coconut palms. The result is a stylish, five-star oasis in a prime location on the island’s west coast.
Nestled alongside a golden sand beach, it’s a place to soak up Indian Ocean sunsets and sample sensational seafood, courtesy of the hotel’s relaxed beachside restaurant, The Sands. You can also start each day with a coffee at The Deck lounge bar and enjoy an evening of elegance, fine wine, and cocktails at the candle-lit Terrace Bar.
A tennis court and a couple of swimming pools offer excuses to work up an appetite, and there’s also a gym if you fancy a workout. If you’re in the mood for a more sedate activity, head for the spa for massages, body scrubs, and manicures.

Local Area
Jetwing Beach is situated between sister hotels Jetwing Blue and Jetwing Sea Hotel on Negombo Beach on the west coast of Sri Lanka. It’s a tranquil seaside setting, around 15 minutes’ drive from Negombo city centre, and about 20 minutes from Bandaranaike International Airport. There are several beach bars, craft boutiques, and fruit sellers nearby as well as market stalls selling freshly caught crab and fish.
If you fancy taking a boat out or trying your hand at kayaking, jet skiing, or water skiing, there’s a watersports centre close to Negombo Lagoon. Otherwise, you can spend a day strolling around Negombo’s Buddhist temples, colonial churches and canals, or photographing the traditional fishing boats and fishermen’s huts lining the lagoon. The Sri Lankan capital, Colombo, is only 30 minutes south by car or if you’re interested in tea plantations and forest covered hillsides, Kandy is around three hours’ drive inland.
