The Dubrovnik Riviera lies 30-odd kilometres from Montenegro, making the two a fantastic pairing. Your holiday begins in the lovely resort of Mlini in Croatia, overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Spend your days relaxing by the hotel’s pool, following pine-scented walking trails along the coast, and popping into Dubrovnik to tour its palaces, churches and monasteries. Moving on to Montenegro, you’ll enjoy a week at the simple Hotel Palas in the peaceful former fishing village of Petrovac. Flit between the pool and the beach, or head out to explore the area a little with the historic old town of Budva is in easy reach.
