A walk on the wild side

After strolling around the historic quarter of Mali Lošinj and admiring the pastel-painted sea captains’ houses on the waterfront, we’ll head to the Garden of Fine Scents. Here, surrounded by traditional dry-stone walls and with views over the bay below, we’ll breathe in the fragrance of over 250 wild aromatic herbs, learn about their medicinal properties, and browse locally made products and souvenirs in the little shop.

Rab is the greenest and best known of Croatia’s Kvarner Islands. Its shores are fringed with pine forests, while inland you’ll find olive groves and grapevines set out in neat rows.
