Moderately active
Bookended by the medieval-walled city of Dubrovnik and the stylish city of Split, we spend a week on this Croatia cruise sailing along the forest-draped bays, hidden beaches and rustic fishing villages of the Dalmatian coast. On board our comfortable ship, we moor up in cosy harbours to explore some of the Adriatic’s most famous islands - including Hvar, Korčula, Brač and Mljet. Discovering Roman ruins, Gothic cathedrals and jumbled old towns, we return each time to the sun deck, Jacuzzi and en suite compact cabins of our ship.

Step back in time in Split
1 / 5
Nothing quite prepares you for the city of Split. Originally built as a retirement villa and complex for the Roman Emperor Diocletian, Split today is a thriving city with streets that were once palace corridors, and bustling shops and restaurants built into the original palace walls, arches, columns and facades.
Amble through Korcula’s old town
1 / 5
Built on an oval-shaped peninsula, Korcula’s picture-pretty old town is encircled by stout walls, with streets arranged in a ‘fishbone’ pattern to create a natural cooling effect. As we wander through them, we’ll admire flower-draped squares and gaze up at the pretty stone churches that squeeze into the narrow lanes.
A stroll through Hvar
1 / 5
With its 13th century walls and pedestrianised marble streets, Hvar Town is the perfect place for a stroll. After walking past beautiful Gothic palaces and gazing up at elegant bell towers, we’ll pause in one of the oldest town squares in Dalmatia, St Stephen’s Square, now lined with cafes and restaurants.
Treasures of Dubrovnik
1 / 5
A walk through the smooth marble streets of Dubrovnik’s Old Town reveals historical treasures including the elegant, pale stone Franciscan Monastery and Museum, the stunning baroque Cathedral of the Assumption and the beautiful Rector’s Palace, now Dubrovnik’s Cultural History Museum.
Back to school in Pučišća
1 / 5
Our informative and interesting visit to a local stonemasonry school reveals the traditional methods and craftsmanship which are still used today to chisel, carve and shape the island’s smooth white limestone.
