The awesome power and spectacle of nature is the star of this itinerary which takes us first to Iceland, a land which literally feels alive beneath our feet. We’ll feel the heat from bubbling mud pools, see crazy colours and volcanic vents across geothermal landscapes and witness the fissures, rifts and rivers formed as the world’s tectonic plates pull apart. Then, after ticking off showcase Icelandic sights from Gullfoss waterfall to Þingvellir National Park we’ll fly to Greenland and board a state-of-the-art HX expedition ship to cruise its wild, western coast. With the Midnight Sun to guide us we’ll cross the Arctic Circle to navigate iceberg strewn bays, pass gigantic glaciers and scan the horizon for wildlife like whales, gyrfalcons, seals, reindeer and Arctic fox. Along the way we’ll learn from encounters with remote local communities and be inspired by talks and insights from the HX expedition team.
