Situated in the southeast state of Victoria, Melbourne is a ‘must see’ for anyone planning on experiencing Australia. It’s got a slightly more upmarket vibe than its counterparts with elegant Victorian-era architecture combining with 5-star hotels and high-end stores.
Collins Street, especially, is really grand with the rejuvenated docklands and Federation Square sitting either side on the north bank of the Yarra River. Staying here places you in the middle of the Central Business District. Getting around is easy. Alternatively, you can just go for a stroll around Fitzroy Gardens and stumble across Melbourne Cricket Ground. Explore a little further and you might also find the National Gallery of Victoria and the SeaLife Aquarium.
