Sydney is one of the largest cities in Australia, and the capital of New South Wales. Situated on the country’s southeast coast overlooking the Tasman Sea, this is the home of the world-famous opera house and the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge.
From shimmering skyscrapers and high-rise office blocks to wild fruit bats roosting in the Royal Botanic Gardens, this is a city that never ceases to amaze. You need at least a week to do the place justice with a trip to Harry’s pie van in Woolloomooloo an absolute must.
Getting around is pretty straightforward with many of the many attractions located close to Darling Harbour. There’s also a good Metro system and ferry network, although best advice is to avoid the busy weekday rush when commuters travel to and from the ‘burbs.
