Head north of the Gold Coast in the southeast pocket of Queensland and that’s where you’ll find Brisbane. This is the state’s capital that sits on the banks of the river bearing the
same name. It’s a sprawling inland city, around 45mins from the beach, with an eclectic collection of museums and art galleries many of which are situated on the South Bank.
