JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa

JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa - Front

Hand-Picked Hotel

Expansive luxury spa, dining and golf resort, located close to Paradise Valley.

Situated in the centre of Scottdale’s scenic hiking area, the Camelback Inn Resort & Spa rises from the Sonoran Desert like an oasis of luxury living. This is where to head for sumptuous spa treatments, saunas, steam rooms, and outdoor heated swimming pools. It’s one of the hottest resorts in Arizona – and that’s saying something.

The surrounding views across Paradise Valley and Camelback Mountain are just like out of a Western. And there’s no better place to soak up the scenery other than your casita’s (cottage/room) outdoor patio. Flowering cacti silhouetted at sunset are all the rage.

You’ll also be spoiled for choice when it comes to eating out. There are some classic Arizona evenings to be had at the steakhouse grill or over at Rita’s Cantina & Bar. Hoppin’ Jacks poolside fare is also rather good. This is where you head to relax and revive with cocktails, quesadillas, club sandwiches and burgers before contemplating another dip.

If you’re staying in Scottsdale, the Camelback Inn Resort & Spa is the only place to head to for luxury living in the desert.

Local Area

If you’re searching for Scottsdale, drive for around 30mins northeast of Phoenix, and you’ll find it without too much bother. It’s one of Arizona’s most sophisticated cities that’s sprung from the Sonoran Desert like an air-conditioned oasis, surrounded by mountains.

It’s somewhere to shop and dine out at places like Fashion Square, Scottsdale Quarter and along 5th Avenue. You’ll also find a good range of restaurants downtown and overlooking the waterfront. Head into the Old Town and there are abundant art galleries and smaller boutique stores appearing alongside the Arizona Canal.

For all of Scottsdale’s downtown districts, however, it’s often outside the city where you’ll find the most fun. Camelback Mountain and McDowell Mountain Regional Park are criss-crossed with trails. Just don’t forget that this is one of the hottest locations in America. Water, sunscreen and floppy hats are just as important as sensible walking shoes.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for something a little less rustic, with more shade, check into a spa resort with access to golf courses, swimming pools and steakhouse restaurants. There’s plenty to experience in Arizona - choose your own pace and dive right in.
