The Edgewater
Hand-Picked Hotel
Quirky Seattle charm at its best – come for the views, stay for the guitars
There’s a reason this historic hotel always ranks top of the charts when it comes to staying in Seattle. It maybe because of its enviable location overlooking the Puget Sound; it could also be due to the rock & roll legends that have previously graced its guest rooms; however, if you’re lucky enough to experience life in The Edgewater for yourself, you’ll soon know why locals and travellers alike always keep coming back for more.
Step inside and you’ll discover a cosy fireplace in every room as well as fabulous views over the water or the city skyline. This creates a comfy, quirky home from home with opportunities to borrow a bike, a record player or a guitar adding to the warm welcome.
If you’re looking for sustenance, head to Six Seven Restaurant for a sublime Pacific Northwest sensory experience. The views alone are outrageous and go hand in hand with the natural organic vibe that’s all about loving the great outdoors in Washinton State.
Finally, there’s no better place to wake up to other than the Brim Coffee Shop. It’s just one of those classic Pier 67 hang outs that you’ll want to tell all your friends about. After all, once you’ve been to The Edgewater, and back, what’s the point in keeping it to yourself.

Local Area
The seaport city of Seattle sits between Puget Sound to the west and Lake Washington to the east. It’s one of Washington State’s most liveable cities with plenty of parks and wide-open spaces encouraging excuses to get out and explore in the great outdoors. The North Cascades and the Canadian border are just a couple of hours’ drive north whilst Olympic National Park is about the same in the opposite direction.
Thanks to the location, you can build a stay here into a self-drive tour of the Pacific Northwest. It’s an easy city to navigate on foot so you won’t need to pick up a rental car until you’re ready to hit the road. Pike Place Market, the Space Needle and Pioneer Square can all be visited over the course of a day.
Once you’ve got your bearings, you can sample the bohemian café culture in Fremont or head for the hipster hang outs on Capitol Hill. The Seattle Streetcar system is super straightforward and offers unlimited all-day access to the city, and beyond.
Alternatively, just head to the waterfront, grab a coffee, and spend a moment staring out over Elliot Bay. There will be plenty of time for sightseeing once the steam’s lifted.
