Local Area
New Orleans can be found on the banks of the Mississippi River in southeast Louisiana. It’s one of America’s most iconic cities famed for the Mardi Gras carnival, the historic French Quarter and some of the finest gumbo, crawfish and jambalaya in the whole of America.
Check into the Big Easy for a few days and you’ll find yourself swaying to the strains of jazz trombones and the hot and spicy smells of Creole and Cajun cooking. It’s the perfect place to open up your senses and go with the flow.
Dive into the French Quarter, the oldest district in New Orleans, and you can visit the Mardi Gras Museum or get into the swing of things at one of the bars on Bourbon Street. The French Market and Jackson Square are also worth experiencing on a sightseeing tour.
Also, if you’re after some retail therapy, head to Canal Place or the Riverwalk Outlets. Magazine Street, too, is phenomenal for shopping with untold boutiques, vintage stores, and curio shops leading all the way from the French Quarter to Audubon Park, Uptown.
